Melodrama: A Perplexing Puzzle for Miss Penelope's Pupils
A Melodrama
by: Barbara Seagren

Directed by: Amanda Dali
Produced by: Barbara Seagren

There’s a new handyman in town, making repairs at Miss Penelope’s one-room schoolhouse. With one eye ogling the lovely teacher, and his other eye coveting funds raised to pay Farmer Brown’s hospital bill, Willy Filchit isn’t the church-going nice guy he pretends to be. Who will thwart his nefarious plans… the town’s rich and handsome Doc Curzem, or Miss Penelope’s pupils? To find out, come see PowPAC’s Old-Time Melodrama, A Perplexing Puzzle for Miss Penelope’s Pupils.

Written and produced by Barbara Seagren, the show is directed by Amanda Dali. PowPAC’s annual melodrama is an official Poway Days Event and is appropriate for all ages. Audiences are encouraged to BOO and HISS the villain, SIGH for the heroine, and cheer HOORAY when good conquers evil.

Special Offer: Prior to each performance, two lucky children will be chosen from the audience to play additional pupils. Arrive at least 20 minutes before showtime if your child would like to be considered.

The show plays at 8PM on Fridays & Saturdays and at 2PM on Sundays for two weekends only, September 17 – 26, 2010. Admission for this special event is (general admission) and (children 6 – 12). Kids 5 and under seated on an adult’s lap are free.
