Dr. Kierra Banks – Late twenties; Surgical Fellow under Surgical Head Dr.Peter Felker.
Nella Larkin, R.N. – Cardiac Transplant Coordinator
Dr. Jack Klee – Older cardiologist; has been at St. Patrick’s Hospital for nineteen years, though it feels twice that. Director of Transplant Unit until a bout with cancer; now has resumed his post.
Dr. Ann Ross – Psychiatrist in her forties working hard to hide the stress she is under.
Father Charles Dunbar – In his sixties; a widower who came late to the Catholic priesthood.
Domenick Piero – Head of Social Services. Unable to walk due to spinal injury; he pilots a mechanical scooter.
Dr. Alex Gorman – Cardiac surgeon – outspoken and opinionated.
Dr. Peter Felker – Veteran cardiac surgeon (Voice heard on speaker phone.)
The time is present day and the setting is St. Patrick’s Metropolitan Hospital Board Room.

Plot Synopsis:
Medicine, Money and Morality clash when the Heart Transplant Selection Committee of St. Patrick’s hospital have only minutes to decide which of three patients will receive a heart that has suddenly come available.
