No Sex Please, We're British
Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot (Farce)

A young bride who lives above a bank with her husband, the bank’s assistant manager, innocently sends a mail order off for some Scandinavian glassware. What comes is Scandinavian pornography. The plot revolves around what is to be done with the veritable flood of pornography, photographs, books, films and, eventually, girls, that threaten to engulf this happy couple. The matter is considerably complicated by the man’s mother, his boss, a visiting bank inspector, a police superintendent and a muddled friend who does everything wrong in his reluctant efforts to set everything right – all of which works up to a hilarious ending of closed or slamming doors. This farce ran in London for over eight years and has also delighted Broadway audiences.

The Christmas Bus
by Robert Inman (comedy/drama)
It's Christmas Eve, and Mrs. Frump, the director of the Peaceful Valley Orphanage, is planning what she believes will be the most special Christmas ever for her kids. She's even borrowed an old bus and arranged for each child to spend Christmas with a family in the area. The only problem is, she hasn't told the Busybodies on the orphanage board of trustees, who believe Frump has grown too old and soft to handle the rowdy kids at Peaceful Valley. With the help of 18-year old Thomas, the oldest of the orphans and her trusty right-hand man, Frump sets off to deliver the kids - pursued by the suspicious Sheriff Snodgrass and the Busybodies. Along the way, they pick up a passenger: a Traveling Troubadour who's been on the road trying his luck as a folksinger and is now returning home to his girlfriend (who might or might not be glad to see him). It's an adventurous ride, culminating in a Christmas even more special than Frump could ever have imagined.

Relatively Speaking
Alan Ayckbourn (Comedy)

Greg met Ginny only a month ago but wants to marry her. Ginny must first visit her married former lover to end their affair –and to secure some compromising letters. So Ginny plans a visit to her “parents”, and Greg decides to follow her to meet his prospective in-laws. When Greg arrives at Philip and Sheila’s house ahead of Ginny and meets the “parents”, their conversation leaves everyone none the wiser about the identities of everyone else. But confusion reigns when Ginny arrives and meets Sheila. As the story develops, Ginny is convinced Sheila is aware of her and Philip’s affair; Philip believes Sheila has had an affair with Greg and that he wants to marry Sheila; Greg is confused by Philip’s attitude to him and his proposal of marriage to his ‘daughter’. Mistaken identity, infidelity and a pair of slippers make for a hysterically funny play about how a little lying can get you in a lot of trouble.

Doubt, A Parable
John Patrick Shanley (Drama)

In this brilliant and powerful drama about suspicion and moral certainty, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, is an old-school nun who insists that her students not be coddled. The young Father Flynn believes the clergy should be more accessible to the parishioners. These two schools of thought come into direct conflict when Aloysius suspects Flynn of "interfering" with a young male student. An enthusiastic young nun sets the play’s central conflict into motion when she is confronted by Aloysius and reluctantly reports damaging information about Flynn. The young man’s mother provides yet another perspective when she's brought in to discuss the situation with Aloysius. In a verbal battle, Aloysius confronts Flynn with her suspicions, demanding his confession and resignation. He refuses, denying any wrong-doing. When Aloysius claims to have evidence, he appears to crumple and she exits, seemingly victorious. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award.
