Five Poway Thespians Nominated for Aubreys
The Poway Performing Arts Company has garnered five nominations for Aubrey Awards from the Association of Community Theaters (ACT).
Even though ACT has reviewed only one of POWPAC's plays, "Catch Me If You Can," the result was no less than five nominations for outstanding acting and idrecting talent in ACT's Comedy category.
The nominees are: Mike Finneran for director, Dave Williams for supporting actor in a major role, Linda Anderson for supporting actress ina major role, Sandy Roseland for supporting actress in a minor role, and Hal Goldberg for supporting actor in a minor role.
The Aubrey awards will be presented June 26 at a dinner-dance at the El Cajon Elks Club.
POWPAC is in rehearsal for "Cactus Flower," which will be presented July 10 through Aug. 1 and is being directed by Dave Williams. For tickets and information, call 748-2500.
